Recently, the result of the Prüfung für das Germanistik-Grundstudium (PGG) of 2022 has been released. With 60% of students scoring 80 points or above and 100% of students scoring 70 points or above, the 2020 undergraduates majoring in German in School of Foreign Studies, China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), achieved the record best results in PGG since its inception.

This year, 20 students sat in the PGG test and 12 of them scored 79.5 points or above (Excellent), among which, Zeng Ya ranked first with 95 points and won the highest score of PGG in the history of our School. In addition, Zhang Meng (94.5 points), Ding Minzhao (93.5 points), Zhang Yangyang (91.5 points) and other students earned excellent scores.

The German major of CUPL has been at the forefront of the interdisciplinary development and reform of German major in China. The Institute of Germany Studies keeps strengthening curriculum development and innovating teaching methods, scoring significant achievements in teaching, scientific research, academic competition and exchanges. The excellent performance in this year’s PGG is an important accomplishment that is attributable to the commitment and diligence of students and teachers. It’s hoped that the teachers and students of the German major in the School of Foreign Studies can continue to move forward and strive for greater achievements.
