On May 10, 2023, Wu Zishuo, expert member of the Translators Association of China (TAC), and extramural supervisor at the School of Foreign Studies, China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), delivered a lecture to our students on improving interpreting skills and providing career advice. The workshop was attended by 2022 Master of Translation and Interpreting (MTI) students.

Mr. Wu started by discussing legal translation studies and suggested that students explore knowledge in other fields, expand their social networks, and cultivate hobbies and interests to develop their multifaceted abilities. He demonstrated how to search for translation market information and corporate job postings, emphasizing the importance of actively staying informed about the industry's latest trends and planning their career goals early on.
