German language competence is central to the legal German majors. Additionally,  through utilizing the abounding legal academic resources of CUPL, this program initiated the “5+2” talent training mode of “German + Law”. That is, after completing five years’ study, students enrolled in this program will obtain two degrees in German Language and Literature and law. Tose with excellent grades can be exempted from postgraduate entrance examinations and continue to pursue two master’s degrees or doctor’s degrees at CUPL or Germany. After completing two degrees in arts and law in the first five years, students who are qualified after examination will be recommended to pursue a Master’s Degree in Comparative Law Studies for another two years. After graduation, they will be conferred the degree of Juris master.
