The School of Foreign Studies of CUPL Convenes Meeting to Advance Application for Dual Degree Program in Law and Translation

On January 9, 2025, the School of Foreign studies of CUPL convened a meeting to advance the application and accreditation for "Law-Translation" dual bachelor's degree program. The meeting was chaired by Dai Jiajia, Associate Director of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting and Deputy Director of the Education Center for Master of Translation and Interpreting, Vice Dean Tian Linan outlined specific implementation plans for the program application, with core faculty members of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting engaging in discussion.


The meeting clarified the basic division of responsibilities for each task, developed a detailed task schedule, and engaged in in-depth discussions on the recently launched needs assessment and drafting of the initial application materials. Participants agreed that establishing a dual bachelor's degree program in law and translation would effectively enhance the university's capacity to cultivate hybrid nature of legal talent for foreign affairs, aligning with national strategic needs. Attendees exchanged views on all aspects of the application process, laying a solid foundation for the smooth implementation of subsequent tasks. Moving forward, the School of Foreign studies will steadily advance all tasks related to the dual degree application in accordance with the established plan.
